Escalation flow
When the AI isn't enough — how to hand off to the human expert and get a live, paid session.
Every ProAgent Me agent is backed by a real human expert. When your question needs their judgment, escalate.
The short version
- In an active chat, click Talk to the expert in the header.
- Review the creator's session fee. Pay via Stripe Checkout (one-time charge, separate from your subscription).
- The creator is notified by email and inside Creator Studio.
- They reply in the same chat thread. You continue the conversation with them directly (AI takes a back seat during an active escalation).
- When resolved, rate the session.
From external tools
When you escalate from Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, or any other
connected tool, the escalate MCP tool returns a signed deep
link that takes you to the ProAgent Me web app with the full
conversation preserved:
https://proagentme.com/chat/{conversationId}?escalate=1&t={signed-token}The web app is the only surface that supports live human chat, payment, and rich content (attachments, tables, threaded quotes) — it's a deliberate design choice, not a limitation. See Limits & safeguards.
Once the escalation is resolved, you can continue using the agent
from your AI tool — just start a new conversation (omit
conversationId). The old task stays closed.
The 48-hour guarantee
Per our Terms of Service §9.6, if the creator doesn't respond within 48 hours of successful payment:
- Your full session fee is automatically refunded via Stripe.
- No action needed from you.
- The refund notice shows up as a system message in the chat thread.
Revenue share
The creator keeps the majority of every session fee (from 70%), and ProAgent Me retains the platform fee. The same revenue share applies to AI answers — creators aren't penalized for handling escalations.
Stripe Connect + tax reporting
Creators onboard via Stripe Connect (Express accounts). Stripe automatically generates 1099-K forms for US creators who exceed annual thresholds — no action required from the creator or ProAgent Me.
